Writing and Editing: I am a freelance writer and editor. I edit and am a regular contributor to Textile Fibre Forum magazine as well as writing features on travel, food, and restaurants. I have also written extensively on museums and cultural diversity issues, including display and representation, cross-cultural learning, repatriation and cultural renewal in indigenous and First Nations communities in Australia, New Zealand, Canada and the USA. I am the author of Making Representations: Museums in the Post-Colnial Era, and Museums and Repatriation, as well as many articles in professional and academic journals, and chapters is edited books. Curatorial and Education Services in Art and Heritage: I am a qualified exhibition curator and a specialist in museum and gallery education. I have a Masters Degree in Museum Studies and complete a PhD on ethnomuseology in Indigenous Australian and Canadian First Nations contexts. In my previous positions in museum and art galleries, I held curatorial and educational roles and acted as an adviser to the Museums Association (UK) on repatriation and restitution issues. I am available for consultancy, exhibition curation, and program development. I specialise in contemporary arts, arts and heritage of non-western cultures, and art and gallery education with particular interests in exhibiting cultural diversity, creating engaging interactive exhibitions, art exhibitions designed for children, and Visual Thinking Strategies.
